The Kisite Marine Park is a feast of colour and movement year round, with eye-catching coral fish including butterfly, parrot, angel fish and sting rays. Dolphins are common, as are big shoals of bonito and frigate mackerel.
Our full day excursion to the Kisite Marine Park and Wasini Island offer you the opportunity to experience dhow sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, fine seafood dining at Charlie Claw’s, relaxing by our Lazy Lagoon pool and dolphin spotting in the tranquil settings of the Wasini Channel.
After leaving Diani Beach travel south towards the Tanzanzian boarder through lush bush land, sugar plantations and traditional villages, to the sleepy fishing village of Shimoni. Once on board the spacious traditional dhow enjoy a light Swahili breakfast before sailing off to the Kisite Marine Park.
The Famous Charlie Claw’s restaurant, serves an exotic lunch based on traditional Swahili cuisine that includes: marinated fish and coconut bitings, steamed crab in ginger sauce – the famous Charlie Claw’s speciality, fish fresh from the fisherman’s basket, for non seafood fresh traditional vegetable soup followed by barbequed chicken or Swahili vegetarian. All served in traditional style with Swahili sauce, rice & chapatti – a traditional Wasini Island celebration dish
After lunch relax by the Lazy Lagoon Pool or explore the island on a guided stroll around the village of Wasini.
